Miyu Yamada
Statement
I make work that reflects those who live in the gaps between the currents of an era and its society. The self and the other, forever changing, never settling into a fixed form. As the material that embodies that uncertainty — a symbol that oscillates between city and nature, mind and matter, the verbal and the non-verbal in communication — I use the medium of sand.
