Cocona Murayama — “small, everyday wonders”
13 – 24 May 2026 | biscuit gallery, Shinjuku
The first solo exhibition by contemporary artist Cocona Murayama. Murayama continues to create works using multifaceted methods including three-dimensional pieces, photography, and drawing, taking as her motif familiar sculptural objects in contemporary times and the movements and trajectories surrounding them.
The theme of this exhibition, “small, everyday wonders,” explores the modest “small miracles, mysteries, and emotions” hidden within everyday life that subtly touch the heart. Through woodwork and drawing as part of the creative process, the exhibition captures the “subtle fluctuations” hidden in daily life in tangible form.
