Statement

Working mainly in wooden sculpture and photography, I use everyday things as motifs and explore geometric shapes drawn from existing forms, trajectories and movement. I also pursue the effects that arise from compositions of colour.

I want to take the theory of form built around geometric shapes, and the compositions of colour, that are already established within art history, and bring them to bear on the ordinary things of today.

Through sculpture and photography, I want to shake off fixed ideas and open up the new viewpoints that lie hidden within them, in as many directions as I can.
